Experienced Assurance and Tax Professionals

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking Experienced Assurance and Tax Professionals.  Opportunities range from the Senior Associate level up to Senior Manager (3-15+ years of experience). 

Draw on your experience in accounting and taxation to provide compliance and consulting services to corporate and individual clients including compliance, research, planning and analysis of a wide range of tax issues. Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and CPA certification.  Public Accounting experience preferred but not required.

Gilmore Jasion Mahler, LTD is currently looking for entry-level and experienced Assurance & Consulting Associates to join our team in both our Maumee and Findlay offices.   Qualified candidates must possess 0-7 years of Public Accounting experience, strong communication skills, CPA certification (or be in the process of pursuing) and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Risk Advisory - Senior Consultant

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our growing Risk Advisory practice. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of audit/IT experience, a bachelor’s degree, and a passion for serving clients. CPA/CISA or other relevant certification preferred.

Serving in this role, you will operate as an engagement leader to assist clients in using proper information systems, resources, and controls to drive efficiencies and minimize risk. You can also expect to work with clients to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems, facilitating the business internal control process and assist clients and other Risk Advisory professionals in performing information technology control and security engagements.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Plans, develops, and leads the execution of more complex information technology audits, risk assessments and other services.
  • Collaborate with other members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines.
  • Serve as an engagement leader by directing the daily progress of fieldwork, performing detailed quality workpaper reviews, informing supervisors of engagement status, and managing staff performance.
  • Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems.
  • Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and client service issues and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations.
  • Demonstrate and apply strong project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.

Preferred experience with:

  • Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) IT Compliance testing including Information Technology General Controls, Automated Controls and Key Reports
  • Designing, implementing, and testing internal controls and reviewing IT and business processes
  • Assessing Information Technology processes and risks with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.)
  • Third-party System and Organization Controls (SOC) reporting
  • Business operations systems, cyber security, network/database engineering, information security and privacy, and or regulatory compliance
  • Data analytics, automation, or visualization tools (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau, Automation Anywhere)
