Much of the money was raised through pre-event sponsorships, a live auction and the call for donations at the event during the fund the flight effort. Ticket sales were also up this year, with an estimated 300 plus attendees.Carnevale attendees

Carnevale 2016 raised over $42,000 for Flag City Honor Flight, helping them to offer two flights in 2017, one in June and one in September. Prior to that, they had offered a single flight per year. The hope was that Carnevale 2017 would bring in enough donations to allow Flag City Honor Flight to continue with two flights per year.

“The results far exceeded my wildest expectations,” says Flag City Honor Flight Executive Director Deb Wickerham. “Thank you to all at Gilmore Jasion Mahler for such an amazing event. There are so many veterans left to serve in our region and Carnevale will help us fulfill that mission.”  Duane and Kathy Jebbett

Generous corporate sponsorships also helped to build support for Carnevale 2017, including major sponsors Ohio Logistics, Rowmark and Huntington Bank.
